Nelson College London is an independent college of higher education founded in 2009 and operating in the London Borough of Redbridge.

Currently, the College offers teaching for Pearson Higher National Diplomas in Business and in Hospitality Management, as well as Foundation Degrees, BA (Hons) one-year “Top-Up”, and MA degrees in International Business and Hospitality Management courses validated by London Metropolitan University.

For the year 2019 the College has been awarded Silver Rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) which showcases that Nelson College London delivers high quality teaching, learning and outcomes for its students that consistently exceed rigorous national quality requirements for UK higher education.

The College is also committed to the professional development of their teaching staff and is a member of the Higher Education Academy. The College encourages all their teaching staff to peruse and obtain membership.

Nelson College London is open to all students from the United Kingdom and the European Union. Student life at Nelson College London is more than studying hard, writing assignments and taking exams; it is also about socialising and communicating, making contacts, meeting interesting people and forming lasting friendships.

Nelson College London caters for the needs of a diverse range of students. Majority of the students belong to the age range of 18-45 years, and they come from Asian and African backgrounds mainly. As far as the gender-wise distribution of students is concerned, there is an equal proportion of male and female students in the College. Currently, 99% of our students are from the UK and/or the EU studies at one of our three campus locations; the Ilford Campus, Gants Hill Campus and Broadstairs Campus.

Our Ilford campus is situated in a large cosmopolitan area of East London - a commercial and retail centre surrounded by extensive residential development.

Our Gants Hill campus is located in a suburban area which is mainly residential with a selection of retail outlets, a wide variety of restaurants, pubs, bars and hotels.

Our Broadstairs campus is located in Thanet’s heart, which gives us easy access to leisure amenities and shopping at Westwood Cross. Also, Tesco and Asda are nearby. Vue cinema is a 10-minute walk away, as well as McDonald’s, KFC, and Tim Hortons near the campus.

All campuses benefit from convenient and fast transport links to central London.
